About LLC Texas.org
LLC Texas.org forms Texas LLCs for a $199 service fee plus Texas's state fees, with the first year of Texas registered agent service included.
What you get
- Preparation and filing of your LLC's formation document (the Articles of Organization or Texas's equivalent) with the state.
- Delivery of the state-returned formation documents to your online account.
- Your first year of Texas registered agent service. It renews at $99/year after 12 months.
What you pay
Texas LLC formation: $199 our fee + $357 Texas state fees (filing $307 + required expedite $50) = $556 due today. The first year of registered agent service is included; it renews at $99/year after 12 months.
EIN (federal tax ID) application: $99. The IRS charges no fee for an EIN. Founders with no SSN or ITIN add $99 for international processing.
State fees are shown separately from our fee. We collect them with your order and pay them to the state at cost when we file.
What the fee doesn't cover
- The state's filing fee and any mandatory state expedite fee. They are listed separately above, collected with your order and paid to the state.
- The federal EIN (tax ID number). That is a separate service: $99.
- An operating agreement.
- BOI / FinCEN beneficial-ownership reporting.
- Legal or tax advice. We are a filing service, not a law firm.

Texas LLC requirements we cover
Does Texas require an annual report? No. There is no Secretary of State annual report for a Texas LLC. What Texas requires instead is an annual tax filing with a different agency: every LLC files a Franchise Tax Report and a Public Information Report (PIR, Form 05-102) with the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts by May 15 each year (Tex. Tax Code § 171.203 and ch. 171). Formation runs through the Secretary of State; everything recurring runs through the Comptroller. That split is the single most misunderstood thing about Texas LLC compliance, and getting it wrong is how LLCs end up forfeited. The rest of your obligations are in the after-formation guide.
No. The PIR's agent field is informational. To actually change your registered agent or registered office, file Form 401 with the Secretary of State ($15 for an LLC). Our change agent guide has the steps.

Refunds and cancelling
Registered agent service renews automatically for another year on each renewal date, unless you turn off auto-renewal or cancel in your online account, or give written notice at least 30 days before the renewal date. Renewal reminders go out about 60 days ahead.
You can cancel at any time from your online account or by contacting support. Cancelling does not by itself remove us as registered agent on the state record; a change of registered agent or resignation filing does that.
Anything already filed with the government is not refundable. Registered agent fees are not refundable once we or our partner have been appointed with the state. State fees are not refundable once paid to the state.
Quick answers

$199 + $357 Texas state fees (filing $307 + required expedite $50) = $556 due today
Get StartedCan a non-resident be a Texas registered agent?
An individual agent must be a Texas resident. A non-resident owner's route is to designate either a Texas-resident individual or an entity registered to do business in Texas, which is what our $99 per year service provides.
Do I get a registered agent with my LLC?
Yes. Your first year of Texas registered agent service is included with the formation. After 12 months it renews automatically at $99/year unless you turn off auto-renewal or cancel in your online account.
Does my registered agent have to sign anything?
The designated agent must have consented to serve in a written or electronic form under § 5.207. Keep that consent with your records; the designation depends on it.
Can I use a PO box or mail-forwarding store as the registered office?
No. The registered office must be a street address where the agent can be personally served during normal business hours, and it may not be solely a mailbox service or telephone answering service.
